Responsibilities
- Take full, hands-on ownership of mission-critical production-grade backend systems
- Ship high-leverage features that improve reliability, performance, and customer value
- Design, operate, and evolve LLM validation loops to ensure correctness and durability
- Identify and resolve complex technical bottlenecks limiting quality or velocity
- Set engineering quality and durability expectations across teams
- Build and improve the Blitzy platform using Blitzy itself
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Python and backend microservices architectures
- Expert-level Kubernetes experience and proficiency with Terraform
- Mandatory expertise in GCP, plus experience in AWS or Azure
- Strong expertise in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB)
- Experience with Graph databases (Neo4j) and Vector databases
- Proven experience building and operating LLM-powered systems in production
- Full-stack competency including frontend frameworks and architecture
- Experience with RPC-based services (REST, gRPC)
- Ability to work in a highly technical, hands-on individual contributor role
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience at Principal or Staff+ scope in a highly technical company
- Experience with LangSmith or equivalent LLM tracing and evaluation tools
- Deep understanding of enterprise software design, integration, and deployment
- Experience designing systems combining graph, vector, and traditional data models
