Principal Software Developer

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex platform services and shared components.
• Own key technical decisions and drive design reviews to ensure scalability, security, and performance.
• Establish engineering standards for API consistency, test strategies, and observability.
• Mentor engineers through design guidance, code reviews, and technical leadership.
• Drive reliability improvements including SLO/SLI management and capacity planning.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering practices to accelerate design, implementation, and testing.
• Partner with Security and Compliance teams to ensure secure-by-design implementations.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience building and operating distributed services in a production environment.
• Strong system design skills, including data modeling and API design.
• Experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization/orchestration.
• Ability to drive technical alignment across teams in ambiguous problem spaces.
