Principal SoC Architect

Responsibilities

• Define team infrastructure and processes
• Distill product requirements and their effects on SoC/platform design trade-offs
• Collaborate with processor, SoC, and system architects to determine optimal solutions
• Provide technical knowledge to silicon design, verification, and hardware engineers
• Liaise with third-party IP vendors for hard and soft IP
• Design and specify performant SoC sub-systems and integrations
• Manage queries for silicon bring-up, characterization, and evaluation
• Drive delivery and planning of technical objectives
• Mentor senior technical engineers

Requirements

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related subject
• Experience in technical specification of complex silicon SoC devices
• Strong software development experience
• Solid understanding of complex computer/SoC architecture
• In-depth knowledge of RTL development and verification processes
• Ability to work across teams and programming languages

Preferred Qualifications

• Architecture modelling experience in Python, C++, or Rust
• Experience with machine learning or massively parallel computing systems
• Proficiency in Verilog
• Knowledge of DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, or on-chip networks
