Principal Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and lead security architecture across cloud, datacenter, and SaaS platforms
• Establish security standards, patterns, and best practices
• Own the strategic selection of core security platforms and tooling
• Drive consistency in implementation of technologies like Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, HashiCorp Vault, and Palo Alto
• Lead complex security initiatives and cross-functional programs
• Serve as escalation point for critical security issues and incidents
• Drive adoption of zero trust principles and modern security frameworks
• Partner with compliance and risk teams to ensure regulatory adherence
• Mentor engineering teams and influence technical direction

Requirements

• 10+ years in security engineering and/or architecture roles
• Deep expertise in IAM, network security, cloud security, and data protection
• Experience designing security architectures in hybrid and multi-cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID or Okta
• Experience with HashiCorp Vault, Terraform, and Palo Alto firewalls
• Proven leadership in large-scale enterprise security initiatives
• Experience supporting regulated environments like healthcare or financial services is preferred
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills
