Principal Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Deliver innovative software solutions to security problems and tackle top risks like technology fragmentation
• Define the multi-year technical strategy for software security and guide architectural decisions
• Lead the development of high-leverage security solutions and infrastructure across business units
• Drive engineering excellence for critical systems like tokenization platforms
• Spearhead security strategy and engineering for mobile software and platforms
• Champion security reliability engineering (SecRelEng) practices
• Lead technical planning and implementation for high-priority security initiatives
• Partner with engineering leaders to integrate security into the development lifecycle (Secure SDLC)
• Mentor engineers on technical execution, system design, and technology choices

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience developing and shipping production software and critical services
• Minimum 5 years focused on scaling security practices in large technology environments
• Proven technical leadership at a Principal or equivalent level
• Mastery of system design and architecture
• Deep understanding of security vulnerabilities, risks, and countermeasures
• Ability to write production-quality code and scripts for security automation
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills to influence executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading significant technical initiatives across multiple organizational boundaries
• Experience in fintech, payments, or cryptocurrency/bitcoin domains
• Experience building systems to achieve sub-linear growth of security resources
