Principal Scientist, Purification Process Development

Responsibilities

• Oversee Purification Process Development strategies using DOE and OFAT approaches
• Serve as a purification subject matter expert (SME) on cross-functional CMC teams
• Collaborate with external CDMO partners to support the pipeline from pre-clinical through commercial stages
• Prepare essential documentation including SOPs, protocols, and reports for tech transfers and regulatory submissions
• Stay current with emerging trends and regulatory requirements for mAb purification processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field
• 5+ years experience with Ph.D., 8+ years with Masters, or 10+ years with Bachelors in biotech/biopharma
• Expertise in purification process development for monoclonal antibodies and recombinant proteins
• Experience with tech transfer, external CDMO engagement, and GMP manufacturing processes
• Experience authoring/reviewing regulatory submission modules (IND, IMPD, BLA)
• Proficiency with AKTA chromatographic instruments
• Strong understanding of chromatography separations and filtration operations (depth, virus, UF/DF)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-throughput liquid handling systems such as Tecan
