About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and execute experimental studies to develop and optimize protein formulations for various modalities, including mAbs, fusion proteins, and ADCs.
- Apply biophysical and physicochemical characterization to assess and mitigate risks such as aggregation, viscosity, and stability.
- Develop novel formulation strategies and scalable technologies for high-concentration biologics and subcutaneous delivery.
- Lead cross-functional technical initiatives and serve as a subject matter expert for project teams and regulatory documentation.
- Build external scientific presence through academic collaborations, publications, and conference presentations.
Requirements
- PhD in Pharmaceutics, Biochemistry, Biophysical Sciences, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in biologics formulation, biophysics, or drug product development.
- Strong background in protein formulation for parenteral biologics.
- Hands-on proficiency with biophysical characterization techniques including DLS, DSC, DSF, SEC-MALS, NTA, CD, and FTIR.
- Ability to analyze complex data and communicate actionable scientific insights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated scientific output through publications or conference presentations.
- Expertise in protein design, structure-function relationships, and identifying developability hot spots.
- Deep understanding of high-concentration challenges such as viscosity, self-association, and colloidal instability.
- Experience with non-mAb modalities like oligonucleotides or peptides.
- Knowledge of molecular modeling, machine learning, or AI approaches for protein behavior prediction.
