Principal Scientist

Responsibilities

• Identify, adapt, and advance new technology initiatives
• Analyze test data of new scientific theories and hypotheses
• Prepare and defend scientific rationales and justifications
• Serve as the subject matter expert on chemical activity, formulation, and analysis
• Provide scientific guidance and recommendations on new and existing formulations
• Author high-quality technical reports and peer-reviewed publications
• Plan, execute, and document laboratory activities to support marketing proof points
• Develop internal procedures and standards for laboratory investigation records and feasibility experiments
• Provide technical leadership for project teams and cross-functional counterparts

Requirements

• PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Sciences, or a related field
• Minimum of three years of experience in the medical device or another regulated industry
• Demonstrated research effectiveness with a record of publications in peer-reviewed journals or presentations
• Strong statistical analysis skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills
• Experience in the chemical, medical device, or packaging industry
