Principal Scientist, Cancer Biology

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Biology Team
• Work closely with the Platform Team on core drug discovery technology
• Develop phenotypic assays
• Establish pre-clinical in vitro and in vivo studies
• Perform mechanistic studies on lead drug molecules
• Spearhead forays into new oncology indications
• Handle grant writing

Requirements

• PhD in Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field
• 5-7+ years of industry experience
• Deep understanding of small-molecule drug discovery and human disease
• Experience with cellular and molecular biology (cancer cell lines, CRISPR, RNA-seq, proteomics, flow cytometry)
• Experience with pre-clinical characterization and mechanistic elucidation
• Proficiency in managing scientists and research associates
• Experience with animal models of cancer and in vivo study design
• Experience managing CROs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience navigating IND-enabling studies
• Experience at the interface of cancer biology and chemistry
• Familiarity with PROTAC or next-gen IPM technologies
• Experience with PPI techniques (BRET, APEX/BioID, AlphaScreen)
