Principal Scientist, ADC and Bioconjugation

Responsibilities

• Lead project ideation and execution, identifying new opportunities within the internal pipeline and external landscape.
• Drive ADC program strategy by developing long-term growth visions and providing guidance to existing project teams.
• Coordinate the design and optimization of novel payload properties and linker strategies using medicinal chemistry expertise.
• Manage bioconjugation chemistry by designing, synthesizing, and purifying protein bioconjugates using novel methodologies.
• Collaborate with Data Sciences and Informatics to enable structured data acquisition for ADC modalities.
• Provide technical training and support to team members on bioconjugation techniques and ADC development.
• Evaluate external technologies and assets through diligence efforts to provide strategic recommendations.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in organic chemistry (or equivalent discipline) with 5+ years of experience, or a Master's with 8+ years, or a Bachelor's with 10+ years.
• Demonstrated success in ADC drug discovery, both at the bench and as a program leader.
• Expertise in ADC characterization methods including SEC, HIC, RPLC, and high-resolution mass spectrometry for DAR assessment.
• Experience with the design and implementation of linker cleavage mechanisms and hydrophilic mask strategies.
• Familiarity with automation platforms for high-throughput conjugation and enzymatic conjugation methods.
• Strong track record of success as a project team leader with excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. with 8+ years of experience, or Master's with 10+ years, or Bachelor's with 12+ years in organic chemistry or a related discipline with an emphasis on ADC and bioconjugation.
