Principal Risk Associate

Responsibilities

• Advise and consult with risk and business teams to help develop well-designed products, processes, and supporting technologies
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with product owners, compliance advisors, legal counsel, and auditors
• Oversee risk event remediation impacting customers and help develop permanent corrective actions
• Execute first-line risk assessments and assist with establishing risk mitigation plans
• Review, analyze, and assess risk to document effective controls and enhance the control suite effectiveness
• Support Audit/Exams, Control Testing, and Executive Reporting efforts

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in retail or direct banking process management, risk management, product management, or operations

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in risk management, financial services, technology, or product management
• Professional certifications such as Business Process Management, Lean or Green Belt, CFE, CRM, or CIA
