Principal R&D Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical management of R&D projects, including system design and requirement specification
• Set and track development schedules and tasks
• Participate in hands-on design, simulation, and verification work
• Oversee simulation, software, FPGA, and testing efforts
• Support business development through whitepaper and proposal preparation
• Supervise a team of engineers and participate in candidate interviewing
• Engage with customers and government agencies for technical presentations

Requirements

• MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in wireless systems design and development
• 5 years of experience in technical project leadership
• Experience across the complete technology development cycle from design to field testing
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB, or Python
• Knowledge of RF propagation, channel modeling, and digital communication
• Experience with wireless ad-hoc mesh networking and routing algorithms
• Expertise in signal processing, MIMO, OFDM, and beam-nulling
• Understanding of cognitive radio and interference mitigation
