Principal Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the facility's Material Review Board (MRB) process
• Manage non-conforming material intake, triage, prioritization, and dispositioning
• Investigate nonconforming material to determine root cause and identify corrective actions
• Support the Quality Clinic in managing nonconforming material from suppliers and escapes
• Resolve turnbacks to improve throughput and quality traceability
• Review engineering documentation to ensure necessary quality assurance and customer provisions
• Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities
• Act as an integrated team leader with engineering and operations to resolve quality issues

Requirements

• University Degree or equivalent experience with minimum 8 years of relevant experience
• OR an Advanced Degree in a related field with minimum 5 years of experience
• U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in problem-solving and statistical analysis (Pareto, SPC, DOE, 8D, etc.)
• Knowledge of aerospace quality standards, including AS9100
• Experience with Document Control and Calibration systems
• Project Management experience
• Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, ASQ CQA/CQE, or PMP
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Proficiency in the SAP Quality Notification module
