Principal QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of test engineers and leads, providing mentorship and professional guidance
• Define and implement comprehensive test strategies and quality metrics aligned with project goals
• Drive the adoption of new testing tools, methodologies, and technologies to improve efficiency
• Develop detailed test plans and oversee the execution of functional and non-functional testing
• Conduct test automation, including the creation and maintenance of automated test frameworks
• Plan and initiate non-functional testing, such as performance, load, and volume testing
• Collaborate with development, product, and senior stakeholders to resolve issues and report on QA status
• Participate in architecture discussions for new projects and conduct audits of code repositories

Requirements

• 10 to 14 years of experience in software quality assurance
• Proven experience in managing, leading, and mentoring engineering teams
• Strong expertise in the full SDLC, including test standards, code reviews, and test data management
• Deep knowledge of core testing concepts such as Shift-Left strategy, Test Pyramid, and TDD/BDD
• Extensive experience with automation tools like Selenium or Playwright
• Proficiency with automation frameworks such as Codecept.js, Serenity BDD, or Cucumber
• Experience performing non-functional testing using tools like JMeter
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical peers

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably Azure
• Familiarity with project management and version control tools such as JIRA and Git
