Principal QA Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end automation architecture for UI and Backend/API testing
• Establish automation standards, best practices, and reusable frameworks
• Design and maintain robust UI automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
• Build and scale API automation frameworks to validate functional correctness and business rules
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Implement test pyramid strategies and shift-left testing methodologies
• Lead QA engineers and drive the adoption of AI-based testing improvements

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering with strong automation leadership
• Proven expertise in UI automation framework design and maintenance
• Deep experience in Backend and API automation (REST Assured, Karate, or Postman)
• Strong experience with CI/CD integration and DevOps workflows
• Ability to automate complex, dynamic workflows and handle asynchronous processing

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AI tools like Cursor to accelerate automation development
• Working knowledge of LLMs, including prompt engineering for test case generation and refactoring
• Experience with event-driven testing involving Kafka or similar systems
