About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of major water infrastructure projects and multidisciplinary teams from optioneering through to handover
  • Manage project proposals, including determining requirements, scope, resources, programs, and cost estimates
  • Own P&L with full commercial and financial accountability, including revenue delivery, margin management, and budget forecasting
  • Develop essential project documentation such as management plans, risk registers, schedules, and stakeholder registers
  • Monitor and control project schedules, manhours, budgets, and expenditure
  • Ensure effective contract management through diligent administration and change management
  • Lead and guide multidisciplinary project teams consisting of technical staff and suppliers
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and capture lessons learned to enhance future delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and a Master's degree in project management
  • 12+ years of experience with proven project delivery on water infrastructure projects
  • Background in engineering consulting with experience in design management
  • Strong proficiency in financial analysis, cost reporting, and Excel
  • Working knowledge or accreditation in NEC contracts with the ability to administer them
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets and complex stakeholder relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for high-quality reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Membership in professional institutions such as APM, PMI, or MICE
  • Experience within the regulated water industry or non-regulated water projects
  • Proficiency in advanced project management software and tools
