About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional design team of hardware, software, and test engineers in developing highly reliable Engines and MEMS sensors.
- Manage project lifecycles from inception to completion, including development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate and manage hardware and software development configurations throughout the engineering process.
- Establish design work scope content for concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product development, integration, and test.
- Perform critical path analysis and implement mitigation plans to ensure successful project completion.
- Act as the primary technical contact for customers, presenting progress reports and stage gate design reviews.
- Monitor project metrics including earned value reporting (SPI/CPI), risk management, and resource allocation.
Requirements
- STEM degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience managing and coordinating hardware and software development configurations.
- Experience establishing design work scope for product development, integration, and testing.
- Strong proficiency in project planning, budgeting, and schedule management.
- Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
Preferred Qualifications
- Progressive technical leadership experience in electronic development and integration programs.
- Understanding of aerospace standards including RTCA DO-178, RTCA DO-254, and RTCA DO-160.
- Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
- Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability in conflict resolution and negotiation.
