Principal Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead Avionics Engineering Programs across multiple Centers of Excellence and/or 3rd party suppliers
• Act as the primary decision maker for engineering program cost, schedule, and technical issues
• Manage engineering cost, schedule, and program metrics
• Drive achievement of program performance for Avionics Hardware, specifically focusing on displays, controllers, and advanced graphics modules
• Develop strategies for early problem detection and course correction
• Manage short and long-term staffing needs and participate in the Annual Operating Plan
• Collaborate with CBT, PMO, and other leadership teams
• Support program pursuits and launches

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a similar field
• 8+ years of professional engineering experience
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected status under asylum/refugee status) due to export control laws

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading Aerospace engineering projects or technical teams
• Strong business acumen and knowledge of industry-specific emerging practices
• Proven ability to work with diverse, global teams and facilitate effective communication
• Experience interacting with customers and understanding business objectives
• Ability to influence others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
