Principal Project Controls

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management and project controls integration for major power generation construction projects, specifically the Buck Combustion Turbine project.
• Establish and maintain project cost baselines, budgets, and forecasts with high certainty.
• Lead earned value management (EVM) analysis, variance reporting, and trend analysis.
• Integrate cost data with site activities and vendor deliverables to ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Provide cost-schedule integration analysis to support critical path decisions and perform impact analysis on change orders.
• Coordinate with vendors to verify cost and schedule updates through submittals and field walkdowns.
• Generate monthly reports and site-specific documentation for Project Manager and Project Director teams.
• Lead and coordinate the site project controls team, serving as a technical subject matter expert and mentor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 6 years of related work experience (or a High School/GED with 10+ years of related experience).
• Proven experience in power plant construction (Combined Cycle, Simple Cycle, Solar, or Battery).
• Proficiency in MS Excel and cost management systems.
• Familiarity with Maximo and Primavera P6.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work onsite in a field-based capacity in Salisbury, NC.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Project Management, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Professional certifications such as AACE-CCC, AACE-EVP, or PMP.
• Experience with ECOSYS administration, configuration, and management.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Acumen Fuse, Business Objects, or Power BI.
• Experience with Web BI data migration and LoadSpring applications.
