Principal Product Security Engineer HW/FW

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and risk mitigation guidance for hardware and firmware components in Client and Enterprise storage products
• Evolve secure development practices to align with market, standard, and regulatory requirements
• Advise development teams on secure development and evaluate architectures through a security lens
• Lead security risk assessments and guide threat modeling activities
• Participate in the validation of security requirements at the component or system level

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in the design and engineering of security requirements and controls for HW/FW
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards and best practices
• Expertise in hardware and firmware security architecture design and integration
• Understanding of low-level hardware-software interactions (e.g., flash, RAM, or cache)
• Proficiency in security threat modeling, risk assessments, and risk mitigation
• Experience working with cryptographic protocols and libraries

Preferred Qualifications

• 5-7 years of related professional experience
• 3+ years of experience in embedded hardware/software design and development
• Familiarity with FIPS 140 standards
• Experience with real-time software development, embedded systems design, or application security
• Background in penetration testing or incident response
