Principal Product Owner

Responsibilities

• Define and own the product vision and development strategy for a digital platform supporting multiple medical device categories and clinical workflows.
• Serve as the Product Owner within an Agile/Scrum team, managing a prioritized backlog, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to define system behavior, interfaces, and constraints.
• Translate business, clinical, and device-specific needs into a cohesive platform roadmap.
• Lead structured system decomposition and requirements flow-down across compute, connectivity, and application layers.
• Identify and manage technical risks, including architecture, cybersecurity, and interoperability.
• Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance with medical device standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, systems engineering, or technical product ownership within medical devices or regulated healthcare technology.
• Demonstrated experience with MBSE and system modeling tools such as SysML, Cameo, or Rhapsody.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems, cloud/digital architectures, and connectivity (BLE, Wi-Fi, cloud sync).
• Proficiency in using Matlab/Simulink for therapy algorithm simulation.
• Knowledge of medical device regulations and standards, including IEC 62304, ISO 13485, IEC 60601, and ISO 14971.
• Experience with requirement analysis, risk assessment, and structured problem-solving techniques.
