Principal Product Manager

About the Company

Gigaton is on a mission to cut gigatonnes of carbon emissions from the world’s biggest emitting industries, like cement, steel, and glass. We build autonomous AI control and optimisation systems that leverage the physics of manufacturing to run heavy industrial plants more efficiently and with lower emissions.

Responsibilities

• Own product discovery and definition for new AI capabilities and features
• Collaborate with research, deployment, and engineering teams to turn AI into product capabilities
• Produce specs, briefs, and decision frameworks for engineering execution
• Work closely with customers to understand pain points and validate solutions in the real world
• Partner with the commercial team on deals, proposals, and go-to-market strategy
• Communicate product direction to internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to building the PM function, including craft standards and hiring

Requirements

• Experience building a product from scratch or taking one from zero to one
• Proven track record of shipping in complex, technical environments
• Deep empathy for specialized operational or technical users
• Practical grasp of physics, process engineering, or ability to learn technical domains quickly
• Ability to shape strategy and positioning to win enterprise deals
• Experience mentoring others and leading cross-functional teams
• Strong communication skills and ability to structure ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using AI tools to amplify product judgment and execution
• Willingness to travel to industrial plants for customer engagement
