Principal Product Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Lead and define the Data Science strategy for Product, ensuring advanced analytics and AI methodologies are central to product development
• Serve as a strategic advisor to senior Product and Engineering leadership
• Drive the development of next-generation data science tooling, platforms, and frameworks
• Spearhead the exploration and integration of emerging AI technologies like Agentic AI and AI Agents
• Champion best practices in experimentation, causal inference, and uplift modeling
• Take ownership of complex, high-profile analytical projects to deliver commercial and customer value
• Mentor, coach, and develop other Data Scientists and Analysts
• Develop sophisticated customer segmentation and predictive models to optimize the product roadmap

Requirements

• Extensive experience in data science or a quantitative role supporting a product organization
• Expert level proficiency in Python and SQL
• Deep experience with statistical modeling, (quasi) experimentation, multi-arm bandit, and machine learning (Regression, Classification, Clustering)
• Proven ability to define and operationalize product and feature-level metrics
• Experience scaling analytics through automation, self-service tools, or data products
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced programming background for building simulations and prototyping data products
• Experience validating quantitative findings with qualitative methods
• Demonstrated experience with applied AI, such as NLP, LLMs, or Agentic AI
• Experience in two-sided marketplaces, e-commerce, or travel technology
• Master's degree or equivalent
