Principal, Process Development and Optimization Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy standardized delivery playbooks, including standard work, stage gates, and checklists for GigaScale site delivery.
• Lead Lean/Six Sigma-style initiatives to reduce cycle time, rework, and variation across construction and commissioning workflows.
• Define and maintain KPI/OKR frameworks to track delivery performance, such as milestone predictability and first-pass yield.
• Facilitate value stream mapping and root-cause analysis to eliminate recurring schedule and quality issues.
• Partner with site delivery teams to validate process changes in the field and ensure sustained adoption.
• Standardize expectations and interfaces with general contractors, trade partners, and commissioning agents.
• Embed risk management and compliance practices into the end-to-end delivery lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in process development, operational excellence, or large-scale construction/commissioning environments.
• Demonstrated ability to build standard work and implement stage-gate governance.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in metrics definition and data interpretation.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hyperscale data center delivery or mission-critical facilities.
• Lean/Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).
• Familiarity with project controls, including schedule performance and risk management.
• Proficiency with data and workflow tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Smartsheet.
