Principal Precision Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of new engineering principles, concepts, and methodologies that set industry benchmarks.
• Solve complex technical problems by providing innovative solutions that influence long-range business objectives.
• Guide the full lifecycle of advanced technological ideas from inception through product realization.
• Act as a technical advisor to management and customers on advanced research and applications.
• Serve as an organizational spokesperson for advanced engineering and manufacturing projects in key technical forums.
• Mentor and inspire engineering teams to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MS + 15 years' industry experience, or PhD + 10 years' industry experience) in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Precision Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience leading high-stakes engineering projects in optics, opto-mechanical design, and metrology.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently and initiate projects with consultative oversight.
• Recognized expertise as a technical advisor and innovator within the field.
