Principal Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, build, and rollout of Neko's internal AI developer platform
• Shape how engineers design, ship, and operate software through agentic, AI-assisted workflows
• Set long-term direction for AI agents, tooling, and underlying systems
• Deliver measurable improvements to developer speed, reliability, and autonomy
• Drive organic adoption of platform tooling across engineering teams

Requirements

• 10-15+ years of engineering experience with substantial platform ownership
• Proven experience building and shipping an internal developer platform hands-on
• Strong track record leading agentic or AI-assisted development work
• Deep backend engineering experience with production systems (Java or C# preferred)
• Experience rolling out platform tooling to 20-30+ developers
• Expertise with workflow engines such as AWS Step Functions, Azure Durable Functions, Temporal, Conductor, or Dagster
• Ability to drive change through influence and credibility

Preferred Qualifications

• Full-stack exposure
• Background in product-led SaaS or organizations with strong internal developer tooling culture
