Principal Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Interact with engineers, cross-functional teams, and customers to gather and deliver technical information
• Troubleshoot and build complex, highly available network topologies
• Develop and manage network monitoring and alerting strategies using SNMP, flow analytics, and telemetry
• Lead complex network troubleshooting and root cause analysis across enterprise, data center, cloud, and hybrid environments
• Perform engineering support and system administration including installation, configuration, and patching
• Provide Tier 2/3 maintenance and engineering support for network and cybersecurity technologies
• Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities related to cybersecurity
• Develop and implement automation solutions for repetitive tasks and metrics collection using scripting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of additional IT experience
• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity or network engineering
• Proficiency in BGP and OSPF routing protocols
• Experience with EVPN-VXLAN and MPLS
• Understanding of load balancers, firewalls, and virtualized infrastructure
• Experience troubleshooting HTTPS transactions and mTLS
• Strong understanding of Windows and Linux systems
• Experience with Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, and Nutanix
• Experience with SNMP monitoring tools
• Must have or be willing to obtain IAT Level II certification within 6 months
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) technologies
• Understanding of defense in depth and resilience principles
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-37 and NIST SP 800-137
• Experience working in Agile environments
