Principal Member Technical Staff (Data Engineer)

Responsibilities

• Handle development tasks across frontend, database, and collection systems
• Engage with global partners across collection, processing, testing, and operations
• Design and optimize database queries and structures
• Implement Data ETL processes using both legacy and cloud-based services
• Participate in the full product and system development life cycle
• Develop and execute test plans, scenarios, and usage cases

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in the web domain
• Proficiency in Spark, Scala, or Python
• Working knowledge of AWS Cloud servers and related services
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS (MySQL) and database design
• Experience with Data ETL (Extract Transform and Load)
• Proficiency with Git, GitLab, or BitBucket and Gitflow workflows
• Experience with Linux OS and Shell scripting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or DocumentDB
• Knowledge of real-time streaming data processing using Kafka and Spark
• Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Hive, or Pig
• Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloudformation, or Ansible)
• Experience with UI design, data visualization, and reporting
• Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies
