About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of mechanical infrastructure projects, specifically gas systems (LPG, SNG, NG), district cooling, and utility pump stations.
- Provide technical leadership for engineering calculations, specifications, reports, and procurement support.
- Develop feasibility studies and engineering assessments for cooling strategies and gas supply solutions.
- Perform hydraulic modelling and network analysis for gas and chilled water systems using industry-standard software.
- Manage authority approvals and liaise with stakeholders including Civil Defense, Ministry of Energy, and municipal authorities.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated infrastructure solutions.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, providing technical guidance and supporting professional growth.
- Ensure all designs comply with local regulations, international standards, and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent recognized degree.
- 10–15 years of post-graduate experience in mechanical infrastructure engineering.
- Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer status (or actively working towards accreditation).
- Proven experience in the design and delivery of LPG, Natural Gas (NG), and Synthetic Natural Gas (SNG) systems.
- Extensive knowledge of district cooling systems, chilled water networks, and utility pump stations.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modelling software such as Bentley WaterGEMS, SISHYD/GasWorks, or FLUIDIT.
- Strong understanding of ASHRAE, SBC, NFPA, and IGEM standards.
- Experience delivering infrastructure projects within Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is preferred.
