Principal Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical engineering services that meet customer and regulatory specifications on time and within budget
• Initiate, manage, and supervise mechanical engineering project requirements
• Participate in technical meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow required checking procedures
• Ensure project scope clarity and manage changes through established processes
• Provide technical assistance during procurement, construction, and commissioning, including writing requisitions and conducting bid evaluations
• Act as the mechanical engineering Lead on specific projects when required
• Supervise junior personnel and outline project requirements, including task assignment and progress monitoring
• Proactively resolve discrepancies between company and customer requirements
• Stay current with the latest technical innovations and developments in mechanical engineering

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Extensive relevant discipline experience in mechanical engineering
• Proven experience in a project leadership role
• Experience in estimating project costs and writing proposal content
• Proficiency in mechanical engineering specific software and MS Office Suite
• Strong knowledge of local and international engineering standards and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States
