Red 6 is an innovative Augmented Reality (AR) technology startup leading the way in synthetic air combat training. Their primary technology enables pilots to simulate the cognitive challenges of flying while accessing realistic, scalable training in dynamic outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and mentor a team of Mechanical Analysis Engineers
• Perform detailed structural, vibration, and modal analyses of aerospace hardware
• Conduct shock, dynamic, and CFD analyses to evaluate system performance
• Develop finite element models and simulations using ANSYS Workbench
• Analyze and design electronic packaging and structural components for extreme conditions
• Ensure compliance with military and aerospace standards including MIL-STD-810 and AS9100
• Support environmental test procedure development and execution

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in stress and structural analysis for aerospace or military systems
• 10+ years of experience using FEA and CAD software
• Proven experience in vibration and shock analyses
• Proficiency in CAD software such as CREO or SolidWorks
• Hands-on experience applying MIL-STD-810 standards
• U.S. Citizenship required to obtain security clearance
• Ability to work onsite in Louisville, Colorado

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Experience in the design and analysis of military hardware for airborne platforms
• Proficiency in ANSYS Workbench for structural, modal, and thermal analyses
• Experience with AR/VR systems, optical sensors, and precision opto-mechanical alignment
• Familiarity with aerospace and optical materials including composites and coatings
