Principal Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, roadmap, and evolution of core ML platforms supporting search, ranking, and recommendation systems.
• Define technical direction and deliver scalable solutions that enable personalization at massive scale.
• Drive high-impact, revenue-generating initiatives by partnering with Product, Engineering, and Data teams.
• Advance modern AI capabilities including recommender systems, learning-to-rank models, and generative AI.
• Design and deploy distributed ML systems, real-time inference pipelines, and end-to-end data pipelines.
• Write and review production-quality code and lead technical design discussions to drive engineering excellence.
• Mentor engineers and establish best practices and reusable frameworks across the organization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in machine learning, AI, or software engineering.
• Proven track record of building and scaling production-grade ML systems.
• Strong Python programming skills with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Deep experience with search, ranking, recommendation, or personalization systems.
• Familiarity with LLMs, generative AI, or agent-based systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer and Information Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience translating advanced research into real-world, scalable products.
