About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environment.
  • Support Linux server internals and Windows fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems of moderate to high complexity, including hardware and operating system integration.
  • Manage data RAID and data backup technologies.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide technical documentation.
  • Install and configure software applications as requested by end users.
  • Maintain 24x7 operational readiness for critical systems.

Requirements

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance required on day 1.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (or an Advanced Degree with 3 years of experience).
  • Proven experience with Linux operating systems.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server and client operating systems.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vCenter, vSphere, VDI (Horizon), or ESX.
  • Proficiency in scripting.
  • Ability to obtain DoDD 8140 / 8570 Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) within 6 months of start date.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with containerization technologies like OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Tanzu, or Rancher.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, and/or DoD/RMF.
  • Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions such as Centrify.
  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
