Principal Landscape Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of landscape architecture design packages from concept through detailed design and construction support stages.
• Provide design direction and technical oversight for landscape works associated with roads, highways, public realm, and land development projects.
• Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams including roads, utilities, drainage, structures, and urban design to ensure integrated solutions.
• Act as a key point of contact for Clients and Abu Dhabi authorities regarding landscape-related matters and approvals.
• Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and reports to ensure quality and compliance with project objectives.
• Provide technical support during tendering and construction, including reviewing contractor submittals and conducting site visits.
• Mentor and develop junior landscape architects and support staff within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture (Master's degree preferred).
• 10–12 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, specifically focusing on streetscape, public realm, and infrastructure.
• Extensive experience delivering projects within Abu Dhabi, including direct experience with local authority coordination and approvals.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams in a consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of Abu Dhabi standards, guidelines, and public realm requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
