About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist in the acquisition, cryopreservation, processing, cataloging, and shipping of biological specimens including tissues and body fluids.
- Transport and process clinical trial specimens using sterile techniques, PBMC, and RNA/DNA extraction/isolation.
- Document specimen collection and processing information accurately in laboratory forms and the OnCore system.
- Review laboratory documentation for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Train incoming and junior technicians in research procedures, laboratory safety, and equipment usage.
- Maintain compliance with GCP, GLP, FDA, NIH, and IATA guidelines for bio-specimen handling and storage.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in a relevant science field.
- Two (2) years of experience working in a laboratory environment.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) to perform job duties.
- Ability to work PM hours on a regular and permanent basis.
- Ability to perform occasional overtime as needed.
