Principal Java Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve highly scalable, secure, and resilient software solutions for critical enterprise Middle Office platforms.
• Partner with Product and Technology teams to design and deliver integrations for Middle Office technologies.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to offshore engineering teams on deliverables.
• Conduct code reviews and apply agile development practices, service-oriented architecture, and OOP principles.
• Design, implement, and maintain data elements powering enterprise products.
• Develop reliable production web applications and data processing systems.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and support.

Requirements

• 12+ years of back-end development experience using Java, Spring, web technologies, and distributed systems.
• 3+ years of experience in UI development.
• Expertise in database design and optimization techniques.
• Proven experience building microservices-based architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Experience designing and operating SaaS and multitenant solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS and/or GCP.
• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, multithreading, and system design.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
