About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide overall medical oversight and medical review of protocols in conformance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all study participants at the trial site
- Assess subject response to therapy and evaluate/address adverse experiences
- Perform physical assessments, examinations, and study procedures as required by protocols
- Train Sub-Investigators and study staff on protocol-specific procedures and medical support
- Review inclusion/exclusion criteria, endpoint criteria, and investigational product use with the research team
- Comply with ICH GCP and all applicable regulatory requirements
- Participate in monitoring visits, sponsor meetings, and regulatory inspections
Requirements
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license in the state where research is conducted
- Previous experience as a Principal Investigator is required
- Training and certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and maintain strict confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of prior experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator
