Principal Integration & Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop company-wide standards for vehicle test (manual and automated) to confirm spacecraft hardware and software flightworthiness
• Operate spacecraft by interpreting telemetry and sending commands during system tests at factories, test facilities, and launch sites
• Act as a test conductor for environmental test campaigns
• Mentor junior team members
• Interface with customers to scope testing for payloads based on expected functions and failure modes
• Manage relationships with launch vehicle providers and contractual deliverables
• Lead high-visibility qualification campaigns for development and flight hardware
• Assess risks and optimize vehicle build/test flows for at-rate production

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, aerospace, mechanical, computer, or relevant engineering discipline
• 8+ years of experience in an integration, test, or automation engineering role
• 5+ years of experience testing and troubleshooting spacecraft and related components
• Experience with environmental testing (thermal vacuum, random vibration)
• Experience working in a clean room with ESD-sensitive equipment
• Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (PSU, Oscilloscope, DMM)
• Hands-on experience with HITL/HWIL or Flatsat software verification testbeds
• Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and/or Rust
• Experience with Linux systems
• Experience managing contractual interfaces with customers or launch vehicles
