Principal Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and own the enterprise Workday integration architecture and long-term roadmap
• Lead, mentor, and provide technical governance for integration engineers
• Serve as lead architect for high-complexity integrations, including real-time APIs and middleware orchestration
• Partner with business leaders, cybersecurity teams, and third-party vendors to ensure secure and compliant solutions
• Establish integration standards, design patterns, and maintain architectural documentation
• Oversee the design and operational support of inbound and outbound interfaces for HCM, Finance, and Payroll

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise system integrations or interface architecture
• Advanced expertise in Workday integration tools including Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Web Services
• Proficiency with APIs (REST/SOAP), XML, XSLT, SFTP, and middleware platforms
• Strong understanding of the Workday data model, reporting frameworks, and business process configuration
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and translate business strategy into technical roadmaps
