Principal Integrated Flight Termination System (IFTS) Product Owner (PO)

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplined, geographically dispersed engineering team in the design, test, and delivery of Integrated Flight Termination System (IFTS) sub-assemblies.
• Manage technical, cost, and schedule execution, including team budgets and aggressive delivery schedules.
• Act as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for all IFTS scope, generating and defending quarterly Estimates at Complete (EACs).
• Track performance using Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and report business metrics to the PMO and functional leadership.
• Collaborate with suppliers and customers to procure and demonstrate capabilities in lab or field environments.
• Guide teams through the hardware systems lifecycle, including requirement development, subsystem architecture, and root-cause failure investigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in hardware engineering or product ownership.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance required prior to start date.
• Proven experience in one or more areas: analog, digital, or power electronics design; RF product design; or Electro-Optical product design.
• Experience in systems engineering, requirement development, or requirement validation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in engineering, mathematics, or physics.
• Experience working with missiles or similar complex defense systems.
• Background in designing and troubleshooting antennas, analog RF circuit cards, digital circuit cards, or configurable logic.
• Experience leading large, complex trade studies and developing technical proposals.
• Knowledge of mixed-signal electronics and the full product development lifecycle.
