Principal Infrastructure & Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure supporting large-scale healthcare analytics workloads.
• Improve system reliability through automation, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Implement AI-assisted approaches for operations, including enhanced observability, automated incident detection, and intelligent infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Partner with development teams to enhance service architecture, scalability, and operability.
• Participate in on-call rotations and perform root cause analysis to implement long-term fixes for complex production issues.
• Build and optimize scalable data pipelines using Vertica and ETL frameworks.
• Drive continuous improvement in DevOps/SRE practices, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and automation at scale.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 8+ years specifically in cloud infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps.
• Hands-on experience applying Generative AI or Agentic AI (e.g., LangChain, AutoGPT) to infrastructure or operations.
• Strong experience with multi-cloud environments (OCI, AWS, or Azure).
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or highly regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA compliance).
• Familiarity with Oracle HDI or large-scale analytics platforms.
• Experience building self-healing or autonomous infrastructure systems.
