Principal Infrastructure Engineer (Compute & Storage)

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design for on-prem and hybrid infrastructure solutions, including compute, storage, security, and platform services
• Serve as a team lead for a small squad of engineers, providing coaching, mentorship, and driving consistent engineering practices
• Partner with US-based infrastructure teams to align standards, reference architectures, and shared roadmaps
• Drive reliability and operational maturity through incident response leadership, post-incident learning, and observability
• Conduct technical reviews, audits, and assessments to ensure accurate and actionable documentation
• Support FinOps practices by driving financially efficient decisions and usage optimization

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in on-prem infrastructure or platform engineering
• 4+ years of experience in team mentorship and coordinating technical projects
• 4+ years of experience working with global or distributed teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field
• Extensive experience with VMware, Windows Server, and RedHat Linux
• Proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible and PowerShell
• Solid knowledge of Azure and SaaS environments
• Experience with storage and virtualization technologies (e.g., Commvault, Dell, Pure, or Qumulo)
