Principal Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

Responsibilities

• Manage the RMF Accreditation and Authorization process, including categorization, control selection, and system hardening
• Generate and maintain essential Information System security documentation such as SSPs, IA SOPs, and POA&Ms
• Utilize eMASS and Xacta to construct and oversee the accreditation of ATO packages
• Provide technical cybersecurity expertise and advice to leadership and vendors
• Evaluate cyber threats and vulnerabilities to determine necessary safeguards like firewalls and network access controls
• Conduct periodic reviews to ensure continuous compliance with System Security Plans (SSP)
• Ensure configuration management for all security-relevant software, hardware, and firmware
• Support the integration of new systems and network architecture for US Government clients

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• DoD 8140 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Information Assurance (IA) related field
• Strong knowledge of RMF, FIPS, and NIST standards
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix Command Line Interface and regular expression queries
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS (client and server)
• Ability to travel up to 15% within CONUS and OCONUS

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity, IT Management, or a related technical field
• DoD 8140 IAM Level II Certification (e.g., CASP+)
• 10+ years of experience in Information Assurance
• Hands-on experience using eMASS and Xacta
• Experience configuring Linux systems to meet specific DoD cybersecurity requirements
