About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of regional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) providing human rights support across global Worldwide Operations business teams.
  • Coordinate with multiple Amazon business functions in India, third-party service providers, and suppliers.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to enhance programs and drive measurable improvements in process efficiency.
  • Analyze program data, including escalation data and audit findings, to identify trends and drive strategic decisions.
  • Partner with technology, data, and science teams to identify solutions for automating and scaling human rights risk management.
  • Develop and improve project management processes, prioritizing the use of technology for scalability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, Economic Development, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, ESG reporting, corporate social responsibility, or human rights due diligence.
  • Extensive senior-level experience working on human rights, labor rights, multi-stakeholder initiatives, or international development.
  • Experience in supply chain, commodity, and supplier management within a high-volume, global sourcing and operations environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as Law or Public Policy.
  • Experience in program management, logistics, operations, or supply chain.
  • Proficiency in using lean process improvement or Six Sigma methodologies to increase efficiency.
  • Experience advising large organizations on human rights and environmental reporting standards.
