Principal

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management to secure high-quality teaching and learning to raise standards of achievement
• Shape and lead the academy's vision, ensuring every student reaches their full potential
• Foster a positive ethos reflecting a commitment to high achievement and effective relationships
• Ensure staff, governors, and parents have confidence in the academy's leadership and management
• Oversee the effective use of staff, accommodation, and resources
• Manage delegated responsibilities to ensure effective finance and administration focused on educational outcomes

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a Degree, and further relevant professional studies
• NPQH or a relevant further degree
• Proven track record of school improvement and raising attainment in urban, multi-ethnic environments
• Experience as part of a Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to transform a school and raise outcomes
• Thorough knowledge of current curriculum developments and how pupils learn
• Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire staff, students, and the local community
