Principal, Fraud Intelligence

Responsibilities

• Serve as the expert on fraud defenses, partnering with Product and Engineering to design scalable risk tools
• Define and operate a layered fraud defense approach across internal systems, third-party vendors, and data signals
• Analyze fraud trends and translate insights into actionable improvements for systems, rules, and workflows
• Manage and optimize fraud rules, thresholds, scoring logic, and vendor configurations
• Leverage ML and AI systems to improve fraud detection and develop scalable training frameworks
• Partner with Data teams to build pipelines, dashboards, and reporting for fraud systems and executive visibility
• Manage relationships with third-party fraud vendors to ensure performance aligns with business needs

Requirements

• 8-12+ years of experience in fraud, risk, fraud intelligence, risk analytics, or trust & safety
• Deep experience implementing fraud solutions including rules, signals, and detection strategies
• Experience working with Product and Engineering teams on technical concepts like APIs and SDKs
• Proficiency in assessing third-party fraud vendors (device intelligence, identity, payments, etc.)
• Strong understanding of modern fraud technologies, including ML/AI-driven detection
• Ability to analyze typologies such as payment fraud, account takeover, and scams
• SQL, Python, or advanced analytics experience preferred
