Principal FPGA/RTL Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work with system engineers and digital design architecting for wireless communication projects
• Perform fixed point design of signal processing blocks
• Execute RTL coding, simulation, and test bench development
• Manage FPGA synthesis and timing closure
• Conduct hardware verification and troubleshooting using logic analyzers
• Provide technical support to RF and Software Engineering teams

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in RTL design and FPGA implementation (8 years with an advanced degree)
• Demonstrated experience with fixed point binary arithmetic and DSP designs
• Deep knowledge of Verilog and System-Verilog
• Expertise in front-end RTL design tools, FPGA synthesis, and timing closure
• Experience with Xilinx FPGAs, SoCs, and Vivado IDE
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

• MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• Basic MATLAB skills
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Perl or Python
• Experience with wireless communication systems on FPGA or ASIC designs
