Principal Field Application Engineer - BLE

Responsibilities

• Deliver field technical support for NXP automotive BLE products and solutions to assigned Tier1 and OEM customers in China.
• Proactively demonstrate NXP products to meet customer specifications and propose customized solutions in collaboration with marketing and sales teams.
• Establish strong technical relationships with customers to track design-in project progress and debug issues in both lab and field environments.
• Provide remote and on-site support for critical bug fixes, system bring-up, and production readiness, including SCH/PCB layout reviews.
• Create high-quality technical collateral such as application notes, troubleshooting guides, and training materials.
• Train and assess the technical capabilities of DFAEs, DAEs, and customer engineers to accelerate project timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in embedded systems development.
• Familiarity with communication interfaces including SPI, UART, I2C, CAN/CAN-FD, and LIN.
• Strong understanding of ARM Cortex-M architecture, including exception handling, security boot, and low-power modes.
• Proficiency in the BLE protocol and experience using BLE protocol analyzers (e.g., Frontline, Ellisys) and standard lab instruments.
• Practical experience with embedded RTOS such as FreeRTOS, ThreadX, or Linux.
• Fluency in English (speaking and writing) with strong documentation and reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with productivity tools such as AI tools, VS Code, Git, Confluence, or Jira.
• Knowledge of AI/ML algorithms applied to general localization applications.
• Experience with BLE channel sounding, RSSI sniffing, handover, UWB, or NFC.
