Principal Faculty, PA Program

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and monitor clinical sites and preceptors for PA clinical rotations
• Ensure program compliance with ARC-PA, SACS, and SMS accreditation standards
• Provide teaching, evaluation, advisement, and mentoring to PA students
• Create and edit rotation-specific syllabi and student evaluation mechanisms
• Participate in program organization, recruitment, admissions, and continuous curriculum review
• Serve as Course Director for Clinical Phase courses and complete required reports
• Establish and maintain a personal program of scholarly activity through research and publication
• Perform clinical site visits and provide feedback to preceptors to improve teaching skills

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited physician assistant training program
• NCCPA certification
• Current Tennessee licensure or eligibility for Tennessee licensure
• Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies
• Minimum of two years of full-time clinical experience as a Physician Assistant
• Excellent oral, written, organizational, and computer skills
• Willingness to obtain a doctoral degree in a field related to medical science

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in a field related to medical science or education
• Teaching experience in classroom and clinical settings, preferably in higher education
• Prior program administrative or leadership experience
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and scholarly activity
