Principal Facility MEP Engineer

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot MEP systems to ensure reliability and compliance with local codes.
• Manage and optimize Building Management Systems (BMS), SCADA, PLC, and IoT-based monitoring systems.
• Develop automation strategies to improve operational efficiency and enable predictive maintenance.
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs while monitoring energy consumption.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and safety regulations.
• Manage contractors and vendors for maintenance, upgrades, and facility installation projects.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and root cause analysis for system failures or deviations.
• Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and system performance KPIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–8+ years of engineering experience with exposure to MEP systems and automation.
• Experience with control systems and data-driven facility management.
• Familiarity with ISO standards, safety compliance, and auditing processes.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of smart building technologies and Industry 4.0.
• Experience working in manufacturing or high-tech environments.
• Professional certification in LEED, Six Sigma, or PMP.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
